'Welcome Back, Kotter': Where are they now?

6 of 8: Robert Hegyes, who played Juan Epstein on the 1970s show 'Welcome Back, Kotter,' died at age 60 on Feb. 26, 2011 of an apparent heart attack.

After 'Welcome Back, Kotter' ended its run, the actor went on to star in the series 'Cagney and Lacey' as Detective Manny Esposito and has small parts in shows such as 'NewsRadio' and 'L.A. Heat.' He last acted on screen in 2002 and made a guest appearance as himself on the reality show 'The Singing Bee' in 2007.

Also in 2007, Hegyes and 'Cagney and Lacey' co-star Martin Kove developed the Internet series 'The Venice Walk.' The show tells of a former NYPD cop, played by Hegyes who now works as a Venice Juvenile Probation Officer.

Hegyes was married three times. He and Lynn O Harem, who have two children together, divorced in 1993 after six years.
