Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her slim figure. She has touted her love for organic food and followed a strict macrobiotic diet before she became a mother in 2004. She and Coldplay singer Chris Martin have a son and daughter.
The Oscar-winning actress and cookbook author felt she had to lose extra weight from the holidays in 2010 so she decided to create a nutritional week-long plan with a detox specialist, Dr. Alejandro Junger. The plan consisted of drinking a juice made up of beets, carrots, apple and ginger, and eating sugar-and-soy-free teriyaki chicken, broccoli and arugula soup. The plan also cut out processed foods, caffeine and dairy.
"When I want to lose, I eat less pasta, bread and potatoes,' Paltrow told Self magazine in April 2011. 'Before last year's 'Iron Man 2' premiere, I did green juices and salads for three days.'
