Katie Holmes, an actress known for movies such as 'Batman Begins' and shows such as 'Dawson's Creek,' and husband Tom Cruise, an actor known for movies such as 'Mission: Impossible III' and 'Valkyrie,' gave birth to daughter Suri Cruise on April 18, 2006. This is the first child the couple has had together.
The name Suri is of Persian origin and means 'Red Rose.'
