Susan Sarandon played tough girl Louise in the 1991 movie 'Thelma and Louise,' which stars Geena Davis as her friend and partner in crime, Thelma, and Brad Pitt as a hunky paroled robber who befriends them.
Since the film was released, Sarandon later went on to star in movies such as the 1995 flick 'Dead Man Walking,' which finally earned her an Oscar after being nominated for one four times beforehand, as well as 'Alfie,' 'Elizabethtown,' 'Enchanted' and 'The Lovely Bones.'
In 2011, Sarandon filmed the movie 'Jeff Who Lives at Home,' a comedy starring Jason Segel and shot the film 'Arbitrage,' a thriller featuring Richard Gere.
Sarandon is also set to star in the sci-fi flick 'Cloud Atlas,' which stars Tom Hanks and Halle Berry and is due to hit theaters on May 4, 2012, and also play Adam Sandler's character's lover and Andy Samberg's character's mother in the comedy 'I Hate You, Dad,' which is set for release on June 15, 2012.
Sarandon and actor Chris Sarandon married in 1967 and divorced in 1979. They have no children together. The actress later began dating actor Tim Robbins and the two separated in 2009. They have two sons - Jack, born in 1989, and Miles, born in 1992. She also has daughter, Eva Amurri, who was born in 1985 and whose father is director Franco Amurri.
