When Rihanna came to the United States at 16-years-old to pursue a music career, she auditioned for Jay-Z and was signed to Def Jam Records 12-hours later. Apparently Jay-Z didn't want to let the songstress out of the building until she'd signed the deal. "We wouldn't let her out of the building," he continues. "We actually closed all the doors, brought her some food. She brought in her lawyers and her production team, and we signed the deal that day," the rapper told Paper magazine in July 2007.
