Christian Bale won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2011 for his role in 'The Fighter,' marking the actor's first win and nomination.
'The Fighter' tells of real-life boxer "Irish" Micky Ward, portrayed by Mark Wahlberg, and how his brother, played by Christian Bale, helped him before he went pro in the mid 1980s.
Leo plays their mother in the film while Amy Adams plays Ward's love interest, a cocktail waitress named Charlene.
The actor is also known for playing Batman in the new films by Christopher Nolan, including the upcoming third installment, 'The Dark Knight Rises.'
