Natalie Portman won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2011 for her role in 'Black Swan,' marking the actress' first win and second nomination.
'Black Swan' follows the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a ballerina in the New York City Ballet trying to make it to the top position in the company. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, "Swan Lake," Nina is his first choice. But a new dancer, Lily (Mila Kunis), who already embodies the darker side of the ballet impresses Leroy and becomes Nina's competition. Nina and Lily develop a twisted friendship and Nina's reckless behavior threatens to ruin her life.
The actress also received an Oscar nomination for her part in the 2004 movie 'Closer.'
