5 of 11: Forest Whitaker claimed his first Oscar in 2006 for 'Best Leading Actor' for his performance as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in 'The Last King of Scotland'. This British fictional drama depicts a volatile portrait of the dictator and his regime as seen by his personal physician, a young Scottish doctor who travels to Uganda during the 1970s. Although this was Whitaker's first nomination, His Oscar win made him the fourth African-American performer to win the Academy Award for 'Best leading Actor'. (A.M.P.A.S.)
