Jennifer Lawrence earned a 2013 Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in 'Silver Linings Playbook,' which scored a total of eight nods. The film is also nominated for Best Picture.
'I thought I would wake up, but I didn't. My parents spent the night at my house, and they came in and kissed me on the forehead and told me about all the nominations for 'Silver Linings,'' Lawrence said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, January 10. 'I went into this because of David [O. Russell]. I've seen everything he's ever done. And I was so blown away by Bradley [Cooper] and the rest of the cast.'
This marks the 22-year-old actress' second nomination. She was previously nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in 2011 for her role in 'Winter's Bone.'
