Nirvana' album 'Nevermind' sold more than 30 million copies, including 10 million in the United States, following its release in 1991 and marked a contrast to the upbeat, glam and 'hair' rock of the 1980s, paving the way for a more mellow, Seattle grunge sound that would become popular among members of Generation X in the early 1990s.
Universal Music is reissuing the remastered album on Sept. 27, 2011. It includes previously unreleased B-sides, demos, mixes, live recordings and video of the band's 1991 Halloween concert at Seattle's Paramount Theatre.
