2 of 11: One of Michael Clark Duncan's most memorable roles was that of Bear, a member of Bruce Willis' character's drilling crew in the 1998 blockbuster 'Armageddon.' Duncan told The New York Times it was Willis who helped him land his role in 'The Green Mile.' He had obtained a copy of the script and called the movie's director to put in a good word for Duncan. He and Willis also starred together in the movie 'Sin City,' 'The Whole Nine Yards' and 'Breakfast of Champions.'

'Michael Duncan was a great actor, a great human being, and he was my very dear friend,' Willis said in a statement to OTRC.com. 'I will miss Big Mike in a Big Way.'
