Kristen Stewart, best known for her role as the heroine Bella in the 'Twilight' vampire romance films, tops Forbes' 2011 list of Best Actors For The Buck.
The magazine says it compiled its list by dividing the figure of the operating income of the stars' last three non-animated films by the sum that the actors' were paid for them. Forbes says Stewart's films earn an average of $55.83 for every dollar she is paid and that her salary is the same as 'Twilight' co-star Robert Pattinson.
The 'Twilight' franchise has been a major moneymaker for film studio Summit Entertainment, which almost cast Michele Trachtenberg in Stewart's place.
As of December 2011, the most recent movie in the series, 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1,' has made more than $594 million worldwide and more than $249 million in the United States since it was released the previous November. Together with the $1.8 billion the first three 'Twilight' movies have earned worldwide, the entire film series has so far grossed almost $2.4 billion around the world.
The production costs for these four movies was about $275 million, which means they have made a profit of more than $2 million. And the fifth film, 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1,' is set for release in November of 2012.
Stewart also plays Snow White alongside Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, who portrays the Evil Queen, in the movie 'Snow White and the Huntsman.' The film is set for release on June 1, 2012.
