Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's opening monologue
Any doubts TV viewers might have had about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler being able to pull off another funny Golden Globe ceremony for the second year in a row were put to rest about a 10 seconds into their hilarious opening monologue when Fey delivered this zinger, 'Welcome to the 71st Annual Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Lee Daniels' The Butler Golden Globe Awards!'
We'll never be able to pronounce Tam Honks... [sorry] Tom Hanks' name the same way again.
'Matt [Damon] on any other night, in any other room you would be a big deal, but tonight -- and don't take this the wrong way -- you're basically a garbage person.' - Poehler.
'Meryl Streep. So brilliant in 'August: Osage County.' Proving that there are still great parts in Hollywood for Meryl Streeps over 60.' - Fey.
''Gravity,' the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die then spend one more minute with a woman his own age.' - Fey.
''Masters of Sex' ... is the degree I got from Boston College.' -Poehler.
Matthew McConaughey is here. For his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club,' he lost 45 pounds, or what actresses call 'being in a movie.'' - Fey.
