Nicole Kidman earned two 2013 Golden Globe nominations - one for Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her role in the movie 'The Paperboy' (which also stars Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey) and one for Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her part in the TV movie 'Hemingway and Gellhorn.'
'As an actor you look for roles that are rich, complicated, and that stretch you and this year I was blessed to find two,' she said in a statement. 'To have the chance to play them was a gift in itself and to then be acknowledged this way is icing on the cake. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press!'
Kidman had also been nominated for an Emmy for her role in 'Hemingway and Gellhorn.'
This is Kidman's ninth Golden Globe nomination. She has won three Golden Globes - one in 1996, for her role in the movie 'To Die For,' one in 2002 for 'Moulin Rouge!' and one in 2003 for 'The Hours.' She won Oscars for the latter two films and was also nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her role in the 2010 movie 'Rabbit Hole.'
