Sofia Vergara was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her role as Ed O'Neill's bombshell wife Gloria on the ABC show 'Modern Family.' She was one of four actors who actually announced the names of the nominees on Dec. 15, 2011 and earned chuckles after she mispronounced several of them.
'Modern Family,' which has won two Emmys, received three Golden Globe nods for 2012, including Best Television Series - Comedy Or Musical. Vergara was nominated for a Golden Globe for the first time, for the same role, last year.
'I've having the time of my life,' Vergara, a Colombian native, told OnTheRedCarpet.com. ''Modern Family' has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, professionally. We're so lucky because we all like each other, we all love each other and we know how important all of us are for the show. It's a whole family. So either if I get nominated or Julie [Bowen] or Ty [Burrell], it's like we all did. It's like we're all riding on the same train.'
