Annie Potts played secretary Janine Melnitz in the 'Ghostbusters' films. She went on to star mainly in television shows.
She played Mary Jo Shively on 'Designing Women' between 1986 and 1993, after which she portrayed Dana Palladino on the series 'Love and War' until 1995. The actress played Lieutenant Lucy Preston on the series 'Joan of Arcadia' between 2004 and 2005 and starred in several episodes of the show 'Men In Trees' in 2007.
Potts has also had small parts on 'Ugly Betty' and 'Two and a Half Men.' In 2012, appeared in short-lived new ABC series 'GCB,' which also stars Broadway actress Kristin Chenoweth. In 2014, Potts appeared on the ABC Family series 'The Fosters.'
Potts also voiced Bo Peep in the 1995 Disney-Pixar film 'Toy Story' and reprised that part in its 1999 sequel.
Potts has been married four times. She and her first husband, Steven Hartley, were together from 1973 to 1978. The actress married producer Greg Antonacci later that year and the two divorced in 1980. A year later, Potts wed director B. Scott Senechal and gave birth to their son Clay, her first child. Potts and Senechal divorced in 1989.
Potts has been married to her fourth husband, producer James Hayman, since 1990. They have two sons together - Doc, born in 1992, and Harry, born in 1996.
