Dave Coulier played Joey, the family friend who lived in the basement, on 'Full House.' After his days caring for the Tanner kids, Coulier went on to guest star in shows such as 'Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher,' 'Head Over Heels' and 'George and Leo.' Coulier is most notable for his voice-over in shows such as 'The Real Ghost Busters' (1986), 'Robot Chicken' (2005-2007) and 'Bob and Doug,' which aired in 2009 and also featured fellow Canadian actor Rick Moranis.
Also in 2006, Coulier appeared on the short-lived FOX reality series 'Skating With Celebrities,' along with Kristy Swanson, Debbie Gibson and Todd Bridges.
Coulier has not acted on screen since 2009. He continues to perform stand-up comedy, much like 'Full House' co-star Bob Saget. He did, however, appear in a Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt ad with Saget and fellow 'Full House' alum John Stamos in 2014.
As of 2011, Coulier provides the voice of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and other characters in the Adult Swim cartoon series 'China, IL.'
Coulier dated rock singer Alanis Morissette, who is also from Canada, on an off for about a year in the 1990s. A popular rumor states that her 1995 angsty song 'You Outta Know' is about him. The two have never confirmed this.
The rumor was spoofed on a 2002 episode of the show 'Curb Your Enthusiam,' which saw Morissette whispering the truth about the matter to creator and star Larry David.
Coulier has been married once. He and model and actress Jayne Modean wed in June 1990 and divorced in 1992. They have a son, Luc, born in November 1990.
