Alan Ruck played Ferris Bueller's naive best friend Cameron in the 1986 comedy film 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off.'
Ruck later starred in the 1990 movie 'Young Guns II' and the 1990s television shows 'Going Places,' 'The Edge' and 'Mad About You.'
Ruck also appeared in the 1994 action film 'Speed,' playing a passenger on a bus Keanu Reeves' character, a cop, aims to prevent from blowing up. Ruck also played Capt. John Harriman in the 1994 movie 'Star Trek: Generations' and appears in the 1996 film 'Twister.'
Ruck's breakout television role came in 1996, when he began played Stuart Bondek on the sitcom 'Spin City' alongside Michael J. Fox. The series ended in 2002.
Ruck later had small roles on shows such as 'Scrubs,' 'Medium,' 'Boston Legal' and 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.' Between 2007 and 2011, Ruck played Dean Bowman on the ABC Family series 'Greek.' In 2013, he appeared on Showtime's 'Masters of Sex.'
In 2005, Ruck starred as Leo Bloom in the Broadway musical 'The Producers,' taking over for Matthew Broderick, who played Ferris Bueller.
Ruck was married to Claudia Stefany between 1984 and 2005. They have a daughter named Emma and a son named Sam. Ruck later married actress Mireille Enos in 2008. They have one daughter, Vesper, who was born in 2010.
