4 of 17: Maureen McCormick played Marcia Brady on 'The Brady Bunch.' Her character adored Davy Jones.

'Davy was a beautiful soul who spread love and goodness around the world,' McCormick, 55, said in a statement to OnTheRedCarpet.com after the Monkees' singer's death on Feb. 29, 2012. 'He filled our lives with happiness, music and joy. He will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.'

The British singer, actor and former teen heartthrob died of a heart attack at age 66 on Thursday in his home state of Florida. He played himself on a 1971 episode of 'The Brady Bunch' where Marcia Brady writes him a letter to get him to perform at her high school prom. He accepts and also serves as her date.

'Davy was a beautiful soul who spread love and goodness around the world," McCormick, 55, said in a statement to OnTheRedCarpet.com. 'He filled our lives with happiness, music and joy. He will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.'

Jones and McCormick reunited on stage at the 2003 TV Land Awards.

Jones also played himself in the 1995 Generation X-crossover film 'The Brady Bunch Movie.' Brady, this time played by Ben Stiller's wife Christine Taylor, again pens a written request for Jones to come to her prom. He shows up in a limo and performs a heavy metal version of his song, 'Girl,' spurring the female middle-aged teachers to rush to the front of the stage.
