Kai Chase, Michael Jackson's personal chef, is seen here testifying at Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial on Sept. 29, 2011. Jackson died on June 25, 2009.
Chase says she began working for Jackson in March 2009. She was hired to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for him and his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, six days a week.
She said a typical breakfast for the children consisted of granola with almond milk and egg whites. Jackson also had granola with almond milk for breakfast, she said, adding that she would also prepare for him beet, carrot and orange juices as well as a vegetable omelete.
Jackson, she said, valued nutrition for his family and often ate with his children. She added that he always appeared happy when he was with them.
