Juror No. 9 is a 54-year-old single, African-American man who was born in Detroit and lives in Hollywood.
He works as a techical director and has an associate degree in television production.
He says he considers himself a fan of Michael Jackson, adding: 'When I was a kid, I liked the Jackson Five. Things change as you get older. I'm more of a Jay-Z fan.'
His hobbies and interests include basketball, football, baseball, film and television. He occasionally watches crime-themed shows such as 'American Justice' and 'Forensic Files.'
The man says he follows the news a few times a week and gets most of his information on current events from newspapers, television and online. He says he never visits any entertainment news websites such as TMZ and has never accessed or read blogs about Conrad Murray or Jackson.
He says that prior to the start of the trial, he had heard reports about the case on television and read about it in newspapers but did not follow the news closely.
The man says he has followed news about other publicized court cases.
He says he has no experience with the medications that caused Jackson's overdose.
