Sarah Polley starred as Ramona Quimby on the Canadian children's drama series 'Ramona,' which debuted in 1988 and lasted one season.
Polley went on to star in mostly independent films and also played Nabby Adams in the miniseries 'John Adams' in 2008. Also that year, she was nominated for an Oscar for 'Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay" for the film 'Away from Her,' which she also directed. It is based on a short story by Alice Munro.
Polley also appeared in the 2010 horror film 'Splice' and directed and wrote the script for the 2011 movie 'Take This Waltz,' a romantic drama that stars Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman.
Polley and husband David Sandomierski are expecting their first child, it was reported on Sept. 7, 2011. The Canadian actress told Toronto.com she is 'super excited' about her pregnancy. She and Sandomierski wed in August 2011.
