Ryan Reynolds began his on-screen acting career as young Billy on the Canadian show 'Fifteen', Nickelodeon's first teenage soap opera, which aired in 1990, and in the sci-fi series 'The Odyssey', another Canadian program that featured him as a villain named Macro.
After several small movie and television roles, Reynolds appeared on the sitcom 'Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place' from 1998 to 2001. His big break came in 2002, when he played party-loving super senior student Van Wilder in a comedy movie by the same name, which starred Tara Reid.
He was later cast in the 2004 action film 'Blade: Trinity' and the 2009 movie 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'. In 2008, he married actress Scarlett Johansson.
Reynolds later starred opposite Sandra Bullock in the 2009 romantic comedy 'The Proposal' and has the main role in the 2011 superhero film 'Green Lantern'.
