MTV 'The Challenge' host T.J. Lavin wed fiance Roxanne Siordia in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 2, two years after waking up from a coma caused by horrible BMX accident. The pair got married at Las Vegas City Hall, eight years to the day that they met.
The 35-year-old BMX star was hospitalized in Las Vegas on October 14, 2010, with brain swelling and a broken wrist, after a BMX stunt went awry at a Dew Tour Event. He was put into a medically induced 9-day coma at University Medical Center in Las Vegas after his accident. Lavin lost control of his bike on a dirt course while performing a mid-air stunt.
Lavin is a Las Vegas native and began a career in BMX racing during the 90s, competing in the X-Games. He has served as the host of MTV's reality competition show 'Real World/Road Rules Challenge' since the 2005-2006 season.
The marriage marks Lavin's first. Siordia has a 13-year-old daughter Raquel, from a previous relationship, who Lavin plans to formally adopt.
