141 of 148: Comedian Russell Brand and singer Katy Perry were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in India, on October 22, 2010. Friends and Family close to the guests gathered at a luxury resort at Aman-e-Khas wildlife retreat and the ceremony was conducted by a Hindu priest. Brand initially proposed to Perry in India on New Year's Eve 2009.

In December 2011, Brand filed for divorce from his wife of 14 months.

'Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage,' the 36-year-old comedian told the Associated Press on Friday. 'I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends.'

Brand cited "irreconcilable differences" in the documents, which were filed in a Los Angeles Superior Court on December 30. The couple had no children together.'
