Fiona Apple was arrested for hashish possession in Sierra Blanca, Texas after a Border Patrol drug-sniffing dog detected marijuana in her tour bus, according to The Associated Press.
A spokesperson for the Hudspeth County sheriff's office said the 35-year-old singer spent Wednesday night in the county jail and was released on a $10,000 bond on Thursday, September 20.
The spokesperson also said Apple had 'a little, tiny amount of pot and hash.' Hashish is, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, a more concentrated form of marijuana. Marijuana possession in small amounts is a misdemeanor in Texas while hashish in any quantity is a felony.
Apple has not commented on the incident. She is known for her hit 'Criminal' and a cover of 'Across the Universe.' She released her fourth studio album on June 19 called 'The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.'
