Demi Moore said on Nov. 17, 2011 that she plans to end her marriage to Ashton Kutcher, weeks after reports of his alleged infidelity surfaced.
The actress made her announcement in a statement to OTRC.com and other press outlets on Thursday, November 17, days after she celebrated her 49th birthday.
'It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,' she said. 'As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.'
A spokesperson for Kutcher had no immediate comment. The 33-year-old 'Two and a Half Men' actor married Moore in September 2005.
In mid-October, a 22-year-old woman named Sara Leal told Us Weekly in a video interview that she and Kutcher had a one night stand. She said he had told her at the time that he was 'separated' and added that her life 'has been a mess' ever since the incident.
Moore and Kutcher have not commented about the matter. Kutcher filed divorce papers on Dec. 21, 2012 -- more than a year after the two announced their split.
