Harold Ramis died at age 69 on Feb. 24, 2014. He played Dr. Egon Spengler in the 'Ghostbusters' films. He also starred in the 1993 comedy 'Groundhog Day' with his 'Ghostbusters' co-star Bill Murray and in the 1994 rock comedy 'Airheads' with Adam Sandler, Brendan Fraser. The movie also featured his 'Ghostbusters' co-star, Hudson.
Harold Ramis also starred in the James L. Brooks-directed 1997 film 'As Good as It Gets' with Jack Nicholson, the 2002 dark comedy 'Orange County' with Jack Black and also played the father of Seth Rogen's character in the hit Judd Apatow film 'Knocked Up' in 2007.
Ramis also co-starred with Black in the movies 'Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, also released in 2007, and the 2010 comedy 'Year One,' which also featured Michael Cera and Olivia Wilde.
Ramis was married to his first wife, Anne, between 1967 and 1984. The two have one daughter, Violet, who was born in 1977. Ramis married his second wife, Erica, in 1989. They are parents to sons Julian, born in 1990, and Daniel, born in 1994.
