Whitney Houston has died at age 48, her publicist confirmed to the Associated Press on Saturday, February 10.
Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.
In May, Houston, who has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for years, relapsed and returned to rehab.
Houston, known for her songs in her 1992 film "The Bodyguard," including her cover of "I Will Always Love You," underwent treatment for substance abuse in 2004 and in 2005.
