Clive Dunn, an actor who portrayed Lance Corporal 'Jonesy' Jones in the 1970's BBC series 'Dad's Army,' has died at age 92.
According to BBC News, Dunn died on November 6 in Portugal, of complications following an operation earlier in the week.
Dunn served in World War II and spent four years as a German prisoner. He would later joke that his role in 'Dad's Army' was his revenge. The show ran from 1968 until 1977 and followed a Home Guard platoon which was formed to protect the seaside village of Walmington-on-Sea, from possible German attack.
In addition to acting, Dunn was also a recording artist and his record "Grandad" reached number one in the charts after its 1971 release.
The actor leaves behind his wife Priscilla Pughe-Morgan, two daughters - Polly and Jessica and his grandchildren.
