Frank Dileo, a longtime music industry executive who managed Michael Jackson's career in the 1980s, died on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 from complications following heart surgery. He was 63.
Dileo also managed the careers of Taylor Dayne, Jodeci, Laura Branigan, and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, and had worked with Prince on several projects. He recently co-produced 'Michael Jackson's This Is It.'
Prior to his work with Jackson, he was head of Promotion at Epic Records and appeared in several movies, including "GoodFellas" and "Wayne's World," where he played Frankie 'Mr. Big' Sharp, the music mogul who discovers Wayne and Garth.
Dileo is survived by his wife Linda and their children Belinda and Dominic.
