Raquel Welch, an actress and international sex symbol, turns 72 on Sept. 5, 2012.
She rose to fame in the 1960s with movies such as 'Fantastic Voyage' but her breakout role was in the 1966 movie 'One Million Years B.C.,' which contained what became an iconic scene for modern pop culture - Welch emerging from the ocean in a furry, prehistoric bikini.
She went on to star in films such as ' The Three Musketeers' in 1973, its sequel 'The Four Musketeers: Milady's Revenge' the following year and shows such as 'Spin City' and 'Welcome to the Captain.' She had a small role in the 2001 comedy 'Legally Blonde' with Reese Witherspoon. In 2012, Welch appeared on an episode of CBS' 'CSI: Miami.'
