169 of 262: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is pregnant with her first child, according to a Tweet by her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan on June 21, 2011, reports Reuters.

'I am going to become a grandfather .. Aishwarya expecting .. So happy and thrilled,' Amitabh Bachchan, also an actor, wrote on his official Twitter page.

The 37-year-old actress' publicist confirmed the news to Reuters, but did not offer more details on the pregnancy.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, 37, won the Miss World titled in 1994, married actor Abhishek Bachchan, 35, in 2007. It will be the first child for the couple.
