Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle were arrested in September 2010 during a traffic stop in Los Angeles and were charged with felony drug possession. Authorities said four ecstasy pills were found in their vehicle. A federal judge sentenced T.I. to 11 months in prison for violating the terms of his probation, stemming from a past gun charge that had sent him to jail for seven months.
Charges against his wife were dropped in January after she completed a drug diversion program.
On Aug. 31, 2011, T.I. was released after serving 10 months of his sentence at a minimum-security federal jail in Arkansas and was sent to serve the rest of his sentence at residential transition facility in Atlanta. But two days later, he was imprisoned in a jail in that city.
T.I.'s lawyer said officials had an 'issue' with the luxury bus he had used to travel to Atlanta. During his trip, he was also joined by an entourage in black SUVs. Prison officials have not commented. He is set to be freed on Sept. 29, 2011 - his original release date.
