Bobby Brown has recently entered rehab.
The 43-year-old singer, known for his turbulent marriage to the late Whitney Houston, has checked into a confidential rehabilitation center according to People magazine.
According to the magazine, his attorney announced that Brown checked in as part of an agreement after his arrest for driving related infractions, and that he 'takes his agreement very seriously.'
In April, Brown pleaded no contest to driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest in March, and was sentenced to 36 months of probation.
The singer, who told Matt Lauer in an April interview that he is "very much clean and sober from narcotics," has battled substance abuse for years and has a prior DUI conviction from 1996. He pleaded guilty to the charge six years later and was sentenced to eight days in jail.
In 2004, he was sentenced to 60 days behind bars for violating his probation, months after he was arrested and charged with battery following a domestic dispute with Houston. In 2008, he was sentenced to a year of community service after police found him in an SUV in possession of a small amount of cocaine.
