Ted Danson turns 65 on Dec. 29, 2012. The actor is perhaps best known for his role as bartender Sam Malone on 'Cheers,' a sitcom that ran from 1983 to 1992.
Danson went on to star in many more television shows. He portrayed the title character in the comedy series 'Becker,' Arthur Frobisher on the drama 'Damages' and George Christopher on 'Bored To Death.'
He also plays himself on Larry David's HBO show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and portrays the role of D.B. Russell on 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.'
actress is known for her roles in 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' in the 1960s and 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' in the 1970s. She has seven Emmy Awards, a Tony and was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the 1980 Robert Redford-helmed film, 'Ordinary People.' She is set to be honored with the Screen Actors Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 SAG Awards ceremony, which airs on TBS and TNT on Jan. 29, 2012.
