Alec Baldwin is outspoken about his left-leaning views and said in December 2011 that he supports President Barack Obama.
After watching the Democrat leader's speech to the nation in Kansas, Baldwin wrote on his Twitter page: 'As you watch Obama speaking in Kansas, you realize why he was elected. Thoughtful, sincere, realistic. [Republican leader Newt] Gingrich is a cranky history professor. [Republican leader Mitt] Romney is better suited for country club president. Obama sees what govt's priorities should be. Obama ... 2012.'
The '30 Rock' star's Twitter was deactivated weeks later after he was kicked off an American Airlines flight for refusing to turn off his iPhone, which he was using to play the game 'Words With Friends.'
Baldwin is also one of several 'liberal' celebrities parodied in the 2004 puppet film 'Team America: World Police.'
