28 of 32: The cool, dreadlocked single mother that put so much heart and soul into her music, Crystal Bowersox, fell short from the crown in season nine as she ended as first runner-up to Lee DeWyze.

Despite losing, Bowersox was recognized for her raspy voice and raw talent. In December 2010, Bowersox debuted her first album, 'Framer's Daughter.' Currently she is signed with 19 Entertainment and Jive Records.

Bowersox's album, 'Farmer's Daughter,' has as of April 2011 sold at least 180,000 copies. ( Photo / MySpace.com/crystalbowersox)
