Candice Glover was named the season 12 winner of 'American Idol,' the first female to win the title since season 6 winner Jordin Sparks.
With three new judges at on the panel, including Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj, Glover impressed both judges and audiences alike throughout the season for her soulful voice and song choices. Upon winning the title, Glover said to reporters, 'I don't remember [Ryan Seacrest] saying my name. I do remember confetti getting in my mouth while I was singing and stuff. I wanted to laugh but I was crying and it was just so much happening at the one moment but it felt great.'
Glover released her first single, 'I Am Beautiful,' following her 'Idol' win and her debut album, 'Music Speaks,' is expected to be released in fall 2013.
