Phillip Phillips took home the title of 'American Idol' during the show's 11th season, despite not considering himself worthy of the coveted honor.
'Honestly, man, I didn't think I'd even make it to see the judges. I have no shame in saying it - I'm not a great singer,' he told reporters backstage following the being crowned the 'American Idol.' 'I just love having fun up on stage, jamming with the guys and just playing good music, man. I like getting the crowd into it. Music's fun, dude. It takes away a lot of things that's going around.' Phillips released his debut album, 'The World From The Side Of The Moon,' which premiered at number four on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Phillips has released two singles from his album, 'Home' and 'Gone, Gone, Gone,' the latter of which was used during season 12 of 'Idol' when a contestant was eliminated. In the summer of 2013, he toured the country as the opening act for John Mayer.
