The 'American Idol' judging panel continued to shakeup during its ninth season, as Lee DeWyze was named the winner of the singing competition series in 2010.
Following the departure of long-time judge Paula Abdul and the addition of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to the judging panel, the show's internal changes began to outshine the contestants on the show. Combined with a rating's decline, DeWyze's time on the show and as a winner were far less successful than previous 'Idol' champions. His debut album, 'Live It Up,' opened at number 19 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, becoming the lowest ever for an 'Idol' winner. DeWyze was later dropped from RCA Records and in 2013 signed with a new label, Vanguard Records.
In 2012, DeWyze married his fiancee Joanna Walsh and in 2013 performed his new single 'Silver Lining' during the season 12 of 'Idol.'
