In the post-Civil War days, a woman moved from Boston to Colorado Springs in search of an adventure. Dr. Michaela 'Mike' Quinn, played by Jane Seymour, established herself as a female doctor in a small, wild west town. 'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman' ran from 1993 to 1998 and Seymour also reprised her role in television films that aired in 1999 and 2001.
After her days in the Wild West, Seymour had a recurring role on the hit television series 'Smallville' as Genevieve Teague from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, Seymour played a doctor on the television series 'Modern Men.' Seymour also played a randy mother in 'Wedding Crashers' in 2005.
She later appeared in commercials for Kay Jewelers. In 2011, Seymour played Gloria Chambers on an episode of the ABC mystery series 'Castle' and in the indepedent film 'Lake Effects' with 'Boy Meets Word' actor Ben Savage and Madeline Zima from 'The Nanny.' Seymour also has a part in the movie 'Freeloaders,' which stars Olivia Munn and Dave Foley.
After her days on 'Modern Men,' Seymour appeared on various television series, most recently on 'Castle' as Gloria Chambers. Seymour just finished filming two green light pictures, romantic-comedy 'Lake Effects,' and comedy 'Freeloaders.'
Seymour has been married four times. Her marriage to first husband Michael Attenborough lasted between 1971 and 1973. In 1977, wed Victor Geoffrey Planer and the two divorced after a year. In 1981, Seymour married David Flynn and they had two children - Katherine, who was born in the year they wed, and Sean, born in 1982. The actress and Flynn divorced in 1992. She wed James Keach in 1993 and the two welcomed twin sons, John and Kristopher, in 1995.
