2 of 17: 'N Sync burst onto the pop music scene in 1997 with the song 'I Want You Back' off of their self-titled debut album. The boy band consisted of JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. Timberlake and Chasez co-starred together on 'The Mickey Mouse Club,' with fellow future pop singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. 'N Sync has sold over 50 million albums to date, including breaking the record for selling one million copies of an album in one day, for 2000's 'No Strings Attached,' which featured the smash hits 'Bye Bye Bye' and 'It's Gonna Be Me.'

In 2001, the group released their final studio record as a group, titled 'Celebrity,' before embarking on solo careers. Timberlake has gone onto become one of the most successful solo artists in the world, releasing three hit studio albums including 2002's 'Justified,' 2006's 'FutureSex/LoveSounds,' and his 2013 musical comeback double album 'The 20/20 Experience.' Timberlake has also starred in numerous films, including 'The Social Network' and 'Friends With Benefits.'

The remaining members, who have all enjoyed varying levels of success post-'N Sync, reunited with Timberlake at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards for a surprise reunion performance, during Timberlake's Video Vanguard Award performance. Despite high praise and demand from fans, the group does not plan to reunite for any future recordings.
