Britney Spears got her start as a member of 'The Mickey Mouse Club' in 1992 before skyrocketing to fame in 1998, with the worldwide No. 1 single 'Baby One More Time.' The song, made famous by its accompanying music video featuring a then-teenage Spears in a sexy school-girl outfit with pigtails, was featured on the singer's album by the same name, which also featured the songs '(You Drive Me) Crazy' and 'Sometimes.'
In 2004, Spears married backup dancer Kevin Federline, with whom the singer has two children with, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The couple divorced in 2006, beginning the start of erratic behavior of Spears in the public eye. Spears' increasingly bizarre behavior resulted in the singer being placed under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, following her 2008 personal meltdown. She became engaged to boyfriend and former TV-agent Jason Trawick in 2011. The couple announced their split in early January 2013, the same day Spears resigned from her position as a judge on FOX's 'The X Factor' after a one season stint.
Spears has embarked on several worldwide tours and has released seven platinum selling albums in the United States, including 1999's 'Baby One More Time,' 2000's 'Oops! I Did It Again,' 2001's 'Britney,' 2003's 'In The Zone,' 2007's 'Blackout,' 2008's 'Circus' and 2011's 'Femme Fatale.' In December 2013, Spears released her eighth studio album, 'Britney Jean,' featuring the songs 'Work B----' and 'Perfume,' and began a two-year residency show at the Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, titled 'Britney: Piece of Me.'
