Kristen Stewart's scandal
On July 25, Kristen Stewart issued a public apology to Robert Pattinson for her 'momentary indiscretion' with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders.
The 22-year-old actress reportedly cheated on her 'Twilight Saga' co-star and boyfriend with Sanders, the 41-year-old married director. Stewart and Sanders were seen kissing and embracing in photos published in Us Weekly magazine in late July.
'I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,' Stewart said in a statement.
Sanders is still married to model Liberty Ross, 34, who portrayed Stewart's mother, Queen Eleanor in 'Snow White and the Huntsman.' The couple has two young children - Skyla and Tennyson.
After her apology, Stewart, Sanders and Pattinson kept quiet about the matter, though rumors swirled that Pattinson had called it quits with Stewart and retreated to his 'Water for Elephants' co-star Reese Witherspoon's Ojai estate.
Will Ferrell jokingly labeled Stewart a 'trampire,' Jodie Foster -- who co-starred with Stewart in the 2002 film 'Panic Room' -- defended the actress and even 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' director Bill Condon spoke out about the story.
By September, the story died down a bit and Stewart was promoting 'On the Road' at the Toronto Film Festival when she insisted she and Pattinson were 'totally fine.'
It is unclear if Pattinson and Stewart are still an item but the two have been photographed together since the apology and promoted the final 'Twilight Saga' film 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' together without incident.
It was recently reported that Stewart will appear in a sequel to 'Snow White and the Huntsman.'
