Angelina Jolie recently had a double mastectomy, according to an op-ed published in the New York Times on May 14.

The 37-year-old actress underwent nearly three months of medical procedures, from Feb.2 to Apr. 27, to have both her breasts removed and cosmetically restored. The double mastectomy came in response to the reveleation that Jolie was a carrier of a 'faulty' gene, BRCA1, which increased her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer.

What if "Mad Men" hired The Genie from "Aladdin" and "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"?

That's not actually happening, but CBS appears to have gotten pretty close. Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar will appear this fall in a new comedy from the network, titled "The Crazy Ones," playing a father who works with his daughter at his ad agency.

Shakira is not returning to "The Voice" next season, according to a recent interview.

When asked if she would be returning for the show's fifth season, the singer reportedly told "Access Hollywood" on May 14, "Not for next season, for sure."

Andre Young, known by his stage name Dr. Dre, is making an investment in higher education.

The Grammy Award-winning hip hop star, alongside "American Idol" personality and music producer Jimmy Iovine, is donating $70 million to the University of Southern California. The funds will be used to establish an interdisciplinary program next year, which would teach a select class of undergraduate students a broad range of technical and creative skills, according to a statement obtained by OTRC.com.

"Homeland" and "Princess Bride" actor Mandy Patinkin has joined the cast of Zach Braff's new film "Wish I Was Here," weeks after the latter star received more than $2.6 million in donations for the movie via an online fundraising campaign on the website Kickstarter.

In the film, Braff will play Aidan Bloom, a 35-year-old struggling actor and family man trying to find himself and home-school his kids. Patinkin, 60, will play his father, Braff said on his Facebook page on Tuesday, alongside a photo of himself with the star.

In "S.H.I.E.L.D." -- which stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division -- Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from several Marvel films. Agent Coulson assembles a group of Agents from S.H.I.E.L.D to investigate strange cases around the world.
