'iCarly' TV film reunites Jack Black, Miranda Cosgrove
Jack Black is set to guest star on the Nickelodeon comedy series "iCarly"s television movie "iStart a Fan War" on Friday, reuniting with his "School of Rock" co-star, Miranda Cosgrove.
The show "iCarly" features Cosgrove, 17, as a girl who hosts an Internet show. Black plays her brother's video game rival, "Aspartamay", who challenges him to a "lyrical duel" at a Comic-Con-inspired event called "WebiCon", the network said in a statement.
"Jack Black is one of the funniest people I know, and it was wonderful working with him again," Nickelodeon quoted Cosgrove as saying. "He kept the entire cast and crew laughing in between takes with hilarious riffs of the battle song he sings in the episode."
In the 2003 movie "School of Rock", Black played a zany teacher who gets his students to form a rock n' roll band. Cosgrove, who was about 10 years old at the time, portrayed a "good girl" student who initially had reservations about his unconventional teaching techniques.
