Ed O'Neill of the ABC comedy series "Modern Family" received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, August 30 in a location that appears to pay tribute to his former television character, Al Bundy, while his real-life wife said he initially did not want such an honor.
The 65-year-old actor's star is located at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard in front of a DSW shoe store. O'Neill played Bundy, a misanthropic, misogynistic shoe salesman and the patriarch of a dysfunctional family, on all seasons of the FOX comedy series "Married With Children," which aired between 1987 and 1997.

"Lovelies! Chaz is Being Viciously Attacked on Blogs & Message boards about being on 'DWTS'! This is Still America right ? It took guts 2 do it," Cher wrote on Twitter Wednesday. "Can u guys check out sites & give him your support? BTW ... Mothers don't stop Getting angry with stupid bigots who [expletive] with their children," she said in another Tweet.

Ron Artest, a forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, said that he wasn't interested in joining "Dancing With The Stars" until his 8-year-old daughter Diamond reminded him of a good cause.
"When I was first had the opportunity to do 'Dancing With The Stars,' I wasn't going to do it but my daughter said 'Daddy, you should do it,'" Artest told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "She had cancer when she was four, so I said, 'Okay, how about I just dance for cancer?' So, all of my profits are going to go to cancer research."
