The 40th annual Daytime Emmy Awards started off with a big wins for "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful."

CBS earned the most nods with 50 nominations, including 23 for its soap opera "The Young and the Restless." The PBS network garnered 44 nominations, including 17 for the veteran children's series "Sesame Street." The talk show to earn the most Emmy nods is the syndicated "Ellen DeGeneres Show" with 10 nominations. Kevin Clash, who voiced Elmo on "Sesame Street" and has won 23 daytime Emmys, is also nominated.
The 2013 Tony Awards aired live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on CBS on June 9, and "Kinky Boots" took home the night's top honors.
The new musical by singer Cyndi Lauper and Broadway veteran Harvey Fierstein took home six Tonys. The show won the awards for Best Musical, Best Sound Design of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical, Best Orchestrations and Best Original Score -- which was done by Lauper.
