Zoe Saldana of "Avatar" and "Star Trek" fame is set to star in a new reboot of the thriller "Rosemary's Baby."
The project is a four-hour miniseries that is set to air on NBC. Saldana, 35, will play the main character, Rosemary. Mia Farrow portrayed the role in a popular 1968 movie. Both the film and miniseries are based on a 1967 horror novel by Ira Levin. NBC first announced its miniseries project in December and Saldana confirmed her casting on Twitter on Jan. 8.

Marvel has released the first image and plot synopsis for its new sci-fi superhero movie "Guardians of the Galaxy," which shows a raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper as well as actors Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, wrestler Dave Bautista and Vin Diesel in character.
The cast members stand in a lineup in the photo, posted on Twitter on New Year's Eve. Pratt plays Peter Quill, an American pilot who "finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt" after stealing an orb coveted by the villain Ronan, played by Lee Pace, according to a statemement by distributor Walt Disney Studios. Saldana stars as Gamora, Bautista plays Drax the Destroyer and Diesel portrays Groot.
